Goes into some depth on a couple of our favorite Wolves (former and current): Ricky Rubio and Andrew Wiggins. Pretty damning stuff on Thib's offense and Wiggins, not surprisingly.

Thanks for posting Q there is some good breakdowns of these various players.

It's interesting to me in some ways that he is able to play that role after playing for Thibs that asked him to do some of the same things the previous reason. I think that can be said and still give props to Utah and Rubio for the success they had. It was a great situation for success all around. Utah seemed to stick with Rubio. I also wonder if work Ryan Saunders did with Rubio working on his game had effect on Rubio's ability to score. There were things he did the last 2 years I hadn't really seen much before.

Dane Moore's podcast went into some interesting details about how Wiggins often didn't get chances to get the ball going downhill like some other teams do with other players. They suggested in that podcast that even if Wiggins had zero inprovement if the team and his teammates utilized him better he would be more efficient and effective. They weren't giving Wiggins a pass but just pointing out some things they say as the went through film.

Yeah I'm thinking he could get to like 5.7% this year. That's like a 20% increase!!!!!!!!

Yes. In Year 5... I don't know why that wouldn't be an obvious sign of a definitive improvement and justification for the $150M deal.

I read the Rubio section and couldn't read the Wiggins section. Lets hope this Butler mess is the darkness before the dawn and not the darkness before the next storm.

It's pretty interesting that we now have statistics to support the "no motor" argument with Wiggins.

We had the eye test. We had the plateauing, or even regression, of stats. To be fair, maybe we'll be told that Wiggins is being told to walk his way to go stand in the corner...

Would be interesting to see if that stat is consistent with prior seasons...

Yes, 4.8% "running fast" rate seems to be one of the most damning stats we have seen. I'd love to get some context though. Does anyone know where this stat comes from, and how he compares to other wings? LeBron James, for instance, actually walks 74.4% of the time! One thing LBJ and Wig have in common, of course, is that they both play considerably more MPG than their peers. That might be a reason they both have to pace themselves.
