Wolves All-Motor Team

Here's my list of the Wolves players on last season's roster who I'd put on my All-Motor team. That's the list of players who, based on my observations, have high-octane motors and play with intensity and competitiveness nearly all the time:
1. Ricky Rubio
2. Kris Dunn
3. Bazz
4. Tyus Jones
5. Cole Aldrich
Sadly, we only had 5 of this sort of player on last season's roster and did not include any of our three most talented players -- KAT, Wiggins and Zach -- although I came close to putting Zach on his list. Zach is a picture of nonstop movement off the ball on the offensive end, but I don't think his defensive intensity was quite there although it was better overall than KAT's or Wiggins'. KAT seems to be highly competitive and he is consistently intense on the offensive end and when fighting for rebounds on both ends. But he had too many defensive lapses (matador moments) to make my All-Motor Team, although those lapses may have been defensive IQ issues more than effort or intensity. Wiggins seemed better last season on the offensive end from an intensity standpoint, but he has a ways to go.

I'm surprised you have Cole over Dieng.

I'm assuming that off-season work ethic doesn't factor into motor?

if it did, Wiggins wouldn't make the roster

To be fair none of us know for sure who does what during the offseason. Just need to post a 15 sec clip on social media and we think they are working hard

I would have put Kat on the all hustle team. He hustles hard but used his hustle in "selfish" ways like taking rebounds away. But he was a terrible defender and I don't know if it was effort, just not good at it or didn't want to pick up fouls

Agreed. I would have put him on too, but with the caveats you mentioned.

Mmmmm, there is the "do shit" list and the "motor" list, which aren't necessarily the same thing but definitely has a lot of overlap. Here is my all-motor list:
1. Rubio
2. Bazz
3. KAT
4. Dieng
5. Dunn
Honorable Mention: LaVine, because he runs hard in transition.
Here is my all do shit list (same as above except swap out Bazz for Jones):
1. Dunn
2. Rubio
3. Dieng
4. KAT
5. Jones

I agree with your do-shit list. I neglected to put Gorgui on my All-Motor Team. He should definitely be on both lists.

There is plenty of reports out there that say Wiggins works his ass off in the offseason. That's not a problem.
