Let's not forget Garnett's first departure.

Remember, it came only one year after the Wolves sent Mark Madsen onto the court to hoist 7 three pointers in the 4th quarter/OT of the last game of the regular season... he shot 1 - 15 fg overall... as the team deliberately and obviously tanked for more ping pong balls.

It worked!!!

The Wolves jumped ahead of Portland. And with that extra slot... they drafted Brandon Roy... only to trade him for Randy Foye with some cash that went directly to Taylor. Then, when Garnett was traded after the next season... after 12 mostly successful seasons... several All NBA teams... an MVP award... after bringing newfound respectability around the league for the franchise... and cultivating a reputations as a notoriously hard worker...

Taylor claimed Garnett was the one who tanked.

Terrible. Take the high road, Glen, whether you believe Garnett sat out with a legit injury or not. Heck... Garnett ended up taking the high road after the remarks. How weird is that ... to be revealed as a bitter douchebag by Kevin Garnett.

If that doesn't illustrate why the Wolves are the WORST franchise in NBA history... I don't know what does.


[Note: Garnett went on to win a title immediately. The Wolves haven't reached .500 since. Maybe... maybe... just maybe... Taylor is part of the problem.]

Taylor didn't, and doesn't owe KG anything.

I don't know how Taylor keeps getting a pass in everything he has fucked up. Yes Garnett has a big mouth, but Taylor's has been bigger. He has done a shit job, interfering endlessly after one season of success in this franchises history. I dream endlessly for Taylor to sell and hopefully we can bring some class to this organization.

Thank you Abe for pointing out Taylors horrible track record.

This will sound bad but the best thing for our franchise would be if Glen passes away by the time Towns 2nd contract starts dwindling down

KG put this franchise on the map. Not Glenn Taylor. The KG era is the only successful franchise build we've ever had. Glenn has been a massive fuck up his whole time as owner outside of the KG/Flip era. They deserve more IMO. KG can say whatever he wants. I'm not siding with the shit owner in this case even if KG and Flip never brought home a title.

At least you don't know them today as the New Orleans Wolves. At a minimum you can thank Glenn for that.

At least you don't know them today as the New Orleans Wolves. At a minimum you can thank Glenn for that.

A majority of teams don't move so I'm not giving him credit for not moving. You don't get credit for doing something most of your peers do and frankly we wouldn't even be in talks like that if the franchise was run well.

4 teams have moved in my lifetime (Brooklyn, OKC, Memphis and NO (Charlotte got an expansion team back). That leaves 26 teams. Bravo Glenn. What would we do without his grand leadership that kept this team here? He only did what 26 other teams have done in my lifetime and the value of his franchise has only gone up over 400% since he bought the team. What a guy!?
