Phoenix has no use for him and the guy is a career 40% shooter that does all the other stuff pretty well too.

The explanation must be he likes the desert air. I can't say I blame him.

I've always been a Dudley fan. Ok Q since you asked I was already thinking about this:
1. Dudley probably has some value around the league. He makes sense here there are some other teams that might have interest also. Maybe some team is willing to throw a random 2nd rounder in as an asset. Woohoo!! Maybe not but he probably has some value as a player.
2. He has around 9 million in salary for next year. The Suns would probably like to A. Get an expiring contract back to save some money either for their owner or for cap space or both. Lol B. Take on longer term money than Dudley in exchange for anothe asset like a first round pick. One example is they could be in a good spot to be a dumping ground for the Lakers when they move Deng. Aldrich still has 2 million guaranteed for next year. Can they do better than that a guy with no money next year?
3. Buyout. Could it work out better for the Suns, Dudley and the team/s that wants to sign him for him to leave some money on the table and sign vet min deals the next 2 years? Some of that depends on what teams are offereing.
4. Do the Wolves want to pay Dudley 9 million next year to probably be a backup plan to a backup? Well the difference between him and 2 million to Aldrich is a little over 7 million so that's a bit better.
My guess is the Suns are hoping for the best return money savings they can get. They probably aren't in too big of a hurry since the returns are likely pretty underwhelming. I'd do a straight Aldrich for Dudley deal. I wouldn't add anything more since we would be taking on money next year.

I thought Cole Aldrich's contract next year was only partially guaranteed?

Cole made $97,500 last night. You're saying he's not worth it? Haha.
I wish we had a stat to show how much former and current Wolves made not playing in games.

I don't have the leaderboard, but if I was a betting man, I'd wager that Nikola Pekovic is the winner.

Yep that would be my first guess also.

Yes, as monster pointed out, I think about $2 million out of the $7 million is guaranteed.
