Thank goodness. Now the Knicks have a chance to try and figure out what they are doing and maybe not be terrible. If Phil had t insisted on the triangle I don't think things are as bad there. If they don't sign some more stupid deals this offseason in 2018 they could have a bunch of cap space. Maybe they can't get anyone there that's a big FA but they could use that to help them build buy taking on a bad contract and possibly signing guys like the Nets, Miami and Dallas did and find a couple gems to keep around. It will be interesting to see who takes that job and what they do with Melo. Do they try and straight up tank this year for a top draft pick? Frank'n may not have been the best draft pick but right now for the future they have Porzingis and that's it so even if he ends up as a SG they could use that too. If he can be a really good defender than can handle the Ball enough and hit 3'a that wouldn't be the worst thing. DSJ would have been the guy that made a lot of sense there.
