- Use Lip's thread for your final hopes and predictions.
- Use this thread for "game day" draft chatter, updates, and reactions.
- I don't know about you guys, but last year I tuned into Woj's live stream and learned who was being drafted before Silver ever stepped up to announce it, LOL! That dude is so plugged in. I plan on tuning into The Vertical again tonight.

As Thibs likes to say, the draft is just one part of the process. He kept things in perspective at his presser and emphasized that getting the current core to improve along with free agency are really, really important too.
I would argue this draft is the third most important aspect of our improvement as a squad, with organic improvement of existing players and free agent signings being first and second respectively. It's fun to speculate, talk about it, and enjoy the drama, but there is probably better than a 50% chance that whoever we get will be a replacement level rotation player or worse....
And on that note, let the craziness begin!!!

Mike Fisher: Among the moving cogs here: Source tells @1053thefan #Blazers already dangling multiple picks to #Wolves to get to 7 - and C Zach Collins.

It's 7:30 pm here and I'm about to go to sleep so I can wake up at 1 am CET and watch this thing in the middle of the night on a work night! Biggest night of the year for Wolves fans (sadly)!
Plus the crazy trades, the hilarious interviews, the fashion, the mispronounced foreign names, it's such great TV.
Can I just say, I really wish the Vertical didn't leak the picks before they actually get announced. It spoiled the tension last year following the draft on this board that we knew who was getting picked before they actually called it. I'd love to log in and go with the chats, but it ruins the drama for me. I really like finding out at the same time as they announce it and the rest of the crowd reacts. I may actually stay off the board, at least until after the first 10 picks or so, unfortunately.

Wait someone here was posting Woj's info on here before the picks and spoiling them last year? Knock it off whoever you are!

Interesting. I just don't see the Wolves trading down for multiple picks. I'm all for adding another high upside young talent in the draft. But this team is at a point where adding multiple lower upside young draftees doesn't make much sense. If Portland drafts John Collins at #15, then I could see a possible trade down with the Blazers -- swapping Zach for John and getting Harkless and another pick from Portland.

Yeah, I would be very interested in that trade! But I am not sure Harkless is on the available list...
Just noticed tweets about Butler again. And Woj says Rubio's name is all over the place! :)

This has been one of the more entertaining draft weeks I can remember with all the activity that has happened thus far, and all the activity that could still happen. I will almost be surprised if Porzingus, Butler and George don't all have new homes tonight!

Man, how crazy is Phil Jackson! Zinger would be a hell of an addition to any team.

Michael Scotto ? @MikeAScotto
Boston Celtics have spoken to the Minnesota Timberwolves about acquiring the 7th pick in the draft, league sources told Basketball Insiders.
I wonder if this is a trade down scenario for Boston or asset collecting move to get a star.
