Last night felt special. For other franchises, those kinds of games happen quite a bit. Not here... at least not too often. So let's enjoy it.

It got me thinking about other times the game "felt" like that. Here's my list of Wolves all-time signature wins:

- Game 7 vs. Sacramento, 2004
- January 2000... Malik Sealy's banked three pointer at the buzzer.
- November 10, 1989... 1st win ever in OT vs. 76ers
- December 5, 2003... Garnett hits 2 or 3 three pointers late to beat Kings in OT... team takes off from there.
- January 20, 2012... Love's three pointer to beat the Clippers (a .500 team with promise with rookie Rubio + Love before Ricky tore up his knee)
- Last night. Minnesotans are among the most devout provincial rubes... so Tyus' dunk was probably the defining moment of the night... at least for me. That's when this game felt "special."

[note: one amusing note. the kat quote... "it felt like a playoff game." ummm... he was 8 the last time the wolves were in the playoffs. 9 the last time they were above .500. and i wonder if lebron james (217 playoff games) felt the same about the atmosphere...]

Looking at your list I am happy to say that I was at the first three games you mentioned - maybe that is why I have stayed a fan throughout the drought...

LeBron had his worst plus/minus game ever. -39.

Did I hear right? Our starters outscored Cleveland's 85-28?

Good memory Abe.....Last night definitely ranks up there in terms of "signature" wins. That was pretty much a full strength Cavs team with TT and IT back in the mix now.

I somehow happened to watch the last part of that Malik Sealy game live on TV while in college. It was pretty awesome. That was probably the best in game moment for the franchise at the time. That may not be saying much though. :)

There was one other game in that Sacramento series. I can't remember which game it was (5?), but it involved a huge comeback where we stole victory from the clutches of defeat. Without that win I don't think we win the series.

After a quick search, it looks like Game 2 of that series? The Kings won Game 1 and were up by 10 with 4 minutes left in Game 2...

Wolves went on a 16 - 1 run to close the game. I remember a few things from that series... I think both teams went on big runs late in games. But even though it was obviously a huge game... it just didn't stick in my memory like the others. Maybe because Game 7 is so memorable?

And former Wolves player, Anthony Peeler, tried to take Garnett out of Game 7 by throwing an elbow at him and instigating a fight in Game 6. Garnett didn't take the bait.

To this day, there are people who call Garnett "soft" for not retaliating. What? The MVP should taken himself out of a Game 7 for throwing a punch in that situation? No.
