A battle of defensive powder puffs - Wolves@Denver GDT

For those of you still paying attention at this point.....
The Bad News - The Wolves played last night and the starters burned through a lot of minutes in a hard-fought loss to Cleveland.
The Good News - Denver will be without Gallo, Faried, and potentially Chandler - three guys that have been a major thorn in our side in past match ups.
The Bad News - These guys have a high-powered offense, led by Nikola Jokic's remarkably efficient game (65 TS% and 4+ assists per game) and a bunch of shooters.
The Good News - Denver can't play defense either.
Unfortunately, I think our tired legs give way on the road and Denver hangs 130 points on us.

.....and OF COURSE they manage to hit pay dirt (relatively speaking) on Juan Hernangomez, a freakin' 21 year old skinny rookie out of Europe that is making shots and making plays off their bench - absolutely a positive contributor.
Meanwhile, our 28-year old former Euroleague MVP still struggles to make much of an impact for us and our 22-year old 4-year D1 #4 pick can't shoot or pass without throwing the ball away.
What the hell?!

Well, my stat of the day... intended to rile up Q specifically...
The Wolves gave up 71 three pointers on the recent 6-game homestand... with every team (even the Bulls) reaching at least 10 makes.
Denver has made 52 three pointers over the past 3 games... including 24 vs. Golden State and 16 vs. the Knicks.
Meanwhile... the Timberwolves have 55 three pointers over the team's last 8 games... and haven't made more than 10 in that span.

Ah, I see we have a big crowd here again tonight! Apathy!!! Well, for you lurker(s) out there.....
Rubio looks terrible, Wiggins has kept us in it in Q1. We need the bench to do some work because our starters are going to be gassed otherwise.

Man, the crowd in Denver is as dead as it is in this place. Between all of Denver's injuries and low energy crowd, we might have a chance. But man, our transition defense. If we miss a shot, it's almost a guaranteed open shot for the other team on the other end. It shouldn't be this difficult to get back and match up, sheesh.

Awesome quarter from Wiggins on both ends of the court. Impressive.

He's now stringing together a very consistent and efficient set of games putting the ball in the hoop. He could be one of the league's very elite scorers if he keeps up the efficiency. Volume or creating shots has never been the issue.
