He's not getting the reps in he needs to develop as an NBA PG. Thibs simply doesn't trust him running the offense when he's playing, so the other guard he plays with, whether it be LaVine, Wiggins, Tyus Jones, or now Lance Stephenson does most of the creating. He's basically useless on offense.

He needs to be sent to the D-League and get as much time on the ball as possible to create, score, run pick and rolls, etc. Tyus is perfectly capable of backing up Rubio in the meantime.

Just commented on this in the game thread, but yes, this needs to happen. He looks completely lost out there. Right now the way we are using him is hurting his development more than helping, not to mention Jones isn't getting a deserved chance. This is the time to do it, while there's still time to bring him back up afterwards to the big club and then see what happens. Thibs needs to swallow his ego on this one, I'm not sure he can do it.

Personally I wouldn't do it. I get he sucks at offense but there is no structure to d league games. He is probably our best defender (not saying much). He is getting minutes here right now. Do you think thibs wants to give Dunn to a coach that dosen't run his offensive or defensive system where 95% of the guys are just trying to make the league. Instead of learning via practice and game situations

I think they should have traded him when they had the chance at the draft.

That outside shot of his..........oh boy. It's a fluke when it goes in. It's a victory when it draws iron.

No structure is exactly what he needs! Offenses default to a point guard centric system in the absence of anything else. I want to see him running tons of pick and rolls as the ball handler getting more reps as a decision maker. Right now Thibs has put the handcuffs on him because he doesn't trust him running an offense. So the reps he gets with the Wolves really aren't helping him develop (IMO).

Agreed

To me he just flat out looks out of sync returning from being out after injury. Even his defense has not been on point like it was before. If they could send him down for 2-4 game stretch it would probably help him. I doubt it will happen though but you would think a few teams would be willing to find him a spot for a short stretch but maybe not. I think he will come around though.

Well, if there isn't a good D-league opportunity for him this year, he definitely needs to get a bunch of run as our main PG in summer league.
