Thibs obviously is pitching Adams as that is the only likely explanation that we haven't had any assistant coaches named yet. He's probably Thib's top choice, but its going to be tough pulling him away from Golden State given the finals run they are on. Our chances depend on how well Adams likes working for Thibs and it wouldn't hurt if he felt some resentment at Kerr that Luke Walton was chosen ahead of him. I hope we get Adams since Adrian Griffin went to OKC. Ryan Saunders is probably a given and I'm expecting we'll probably get at least 2 of these guys: Cassell, Greer, Pickney and Adelman to round out the bench. I'm still holding out some small hope that Layman can convince Stockton to come here.

I wouldn't be too worried about him securing a solid bench. There are plenty of veteran coaches that have associations with Thibs that he will be able to pick from. Also any up and comers with aspirations of becoming a head guy will want to diversify himself and would probably love to learn from Thibs. I'm sure he will get a solid staff. What's the latest on Stephen Silas?

Agree Phenom. I think good assistant coaches can be found anywhere. Sort of like finding a new CEO, I'm sure they can find a guy to sit there and do nothing.

It's possible Thibs is looking at other guys on either GS or the Cavs. These are guys who I at least know who they are.
GS
Jarron Collins he was a hot name a few weeks ago.
Cavs
Both of these guys would have connections to Thibs from his time in Boston.
James Posey
Mike Longabardi

Below is an article about Billups turning Down the Magic offer to make him a high paid assistant. Remember Flip wanted Billups as a coach here. He must really not want to coach.

Also there is some Wolves related news:
"The Magic are in advanced talks with Minnesota Timberwolves assistant David Adelman for a spot on Vogel's staff, league sources said. Along with Bryan Gates (Sacramento Kings), Adelman is one of the holdover coaches in Minnesota leaving with the arrival of Tom Thibodeau's regime there."

Word from Toronto on Greer: he backed out earlier this week. But they thought they had him back. Good work by Thibs. Solid ass't. #twolves

Somebody sell me on Greer, please. I know he and Thibs were assistants together at Houston, and Thibs then hired him as an assistant for 5 years in Chicago, but I really know nothing else about him...good or bad. Is this a hire to be excited about, or did Thibs just hire a buddy?

It seems the guy is very well respected. JVG RAVES about him. It's pretty obvious Toronto wanted to keep him badly and at this point Toronto is a organization I have a lot of respect for. It's a good hire and is a JVG Thibs guy. I'd say it's a win no matter who got him.

Ryan Saunders, son of late Flip Saunders (former Timberwolves POBO/coach), will be retained on Tom Thibodeau's staff, per sources.
