I'm sorry. But I felt compelled... the stat was just screaming to be used...

Top 5 for three pointers attempted in 2015:

1. Rockets (56 - 26 / WCF)
2. Warriors (67 - 15 / WCF)
3. Clippers (56 - 26 / lost game 7 semifinals)
4. Cavs (53 - 29 / ECF)
5. Hawks (60 - 22 / ECF)
30. Wolves (16 - 66)

This is the truth. I think everybody realizes it except Flip.

one of the reasons I'm secretly hoping we get the 3rd pick and are forced to take D'Angelo

Flip has said he recognizes the need to improve outside shooting, so he's not completely clueless.

My problem has always been that he doesn't recognize the need to seek out 3's in lieu of long 2's. The long 2 should never be a designed play unless it's with a wickedly accurate shooter from that range (of which there are only a handful in the NBA...For example, Steph Curry should be allowed to shoot any open jumper, anytime, from almost anywhere on the floor).

Q, I have to disagree with your point about Curry. I made a few corrections below.

Memphis is at the bottom one spot above the Wolves. Is that because they think the 3 point shot is dumb and they shouldn't take any or because they can't find the guys to take them? Cowherd had a former Suns front office person and asked him about this 3 point trend and he said yeah it's a problem for Memphis they have kept trying to find shooting but oddly they can't find the guys they need.

The Wolves have had a similar problem for years. They haven't found volume 3 point shooters but I agree that sometimes it wasn't encouraged enough at the very least. Some guys 3point percentages seem to rise if they take a higher volume of them. Telfair is one example and I know there are others I believe Thad was another one who shot a better percentage of he took a significantly higher volume which of course seems to make sense up to a certain point. Flip has brought in various levels of talent that have shooting 3's as theoretic strengths like Hummel Hamilton Payne Lavine and even Bazz and Wiggins plus added volume FA shooters of Martin and Brewer and Mo Williams. Flip the GM is trying to add the shooting talent lets hope the coach enables more this coming season. :)

They said in that game 7 yesterday that CP3 was the best midrange shooter in basketball.

Ha! No doubt. That guy is ridiculous - the most skilled player in basketball. I'm not sure he's the best player, but certainly the most skilled.

Maybe a bit of both. Another angle with Memphis is that they actually have a good to very good inside tandem. The Wolves don't have any interior identity...

Right, CP3 is a very good mid-range shooter. Again, there are some players like CP3, Curry, and a few others where an open 15 or 16 footer is a good shot. I'm not sure any shot just barely inside the arc is a good shot, unless that is simply all that is available and the shot clock is almost to zero.
