I will still be a little salty if we fall to 3 because I want one of the Centers above all else, but Russell is a fantastic player himself. Just PLEASE don't fall to 4 ugh

Top-three is money. I feel very good about the star potential/probability with any one of Towns, Okafor or Russell. After that, there's still a stud (Mudiay), but the probability of him being a star isn't as high as the above mentioned three, in my opinion.

I'll gladly take any one of them, though. I'm just happy we locked up a top-four pick already and don't have to worry that much.

We are the Timberwaolves. If four is the worst possible scenario, that is where we end up, given our luck. I dont want Mudiay - already have a slick point guard that cant shoot. So, at four do we reach for Winslow, Porzingis, or Hezonja?

I think you guys are making a big assumption that Russell would be in our top 3. I don't think he will be. If we end up third and Towns and Okafor are taken, I bet we take Porzingis.

If we did take Porzingis, that would be the straw that breaks the camel's back. B-u-s-t.

Why would he bust?

because he's built like Anthony Randolph and might not be able to handle the physical rigors of the NBA.

That and this team is still incredibly inept when it comes to player development

I like Russell a lot. Mudiay, Zingus, Winslow...all of these guys have enormous potential.

That said, I'm really hoping we end up picking top 2. Dieng (at 25) is probably closing in or has reached his ceiling. Pek no longer can be counted on. KG is a fossil, and Payne, AB, and Hamilton haven't proved they should even be in the rotation. We need a big guy in the middle bad, and both The Big KAT and OAK project to be elite. It's unsure who will be the better player long term, but I'd be ecstatic with either one at this stage.

So for me, top 2 is the money.

The disaster scenerio, imo, is if we pick 3rd or 4th and Philly does not move up into the top 2. Philly is so loaded in the middle right now I see them being the one team we could work with to get Towns or Oak.

In conclusion, it's the Wolves: hope for the best and expect the worst.

Given that I think Okafor is #1 on Flip's board, I don't have optimism for who we'll pick or where we will land. Towns is the guy we need and it looks like unless someone else loves Okafor as much as Flip we won't get him.
