Did KG get injured Wednesday?

Anyone know why Yahoo says that KG is unsure whether he'll be ok to go against the Bulls?

Because he is only going to play on back to back nights when he feels up to it. He is playing for sure at home Saturday night. So the question is does he feel he can do it back to back right now. Flip is leaving it up to KG.

Got it. Makes sense. Let's see how the energy flows on nights he is not playing.

I am hoping he is at least dressing and available on the bench, even if he plans to not play.

Wow! And Gasol is out, too. Might as well have KG rest!

Interesting.
It seems to be following the pattern I suggested it would. Garnett is an ornamental piece for home games primarily. The good news is that he can still be effective in multiple ways while playing 15 - 20 minutes in "most" home games and a handful of road games.
But, it's also why I tempered expectations that his arrival meant Garnett vs. Thad Young as much as it means A. Payne vs. Thad Young.

You are discounting whatever "culture change" KG might be facilitating. I'm not sure how best to quantify the degree there is a culture change. Two nights ago may have been the Wolves best defensive effort of the season. If that kind of effort continues, even when KG sits, then it's fair to say the KG impact is pretty significant.
Unless you would rather say "Payne is light years ahead of Thad Young"... :-)

I hope there's a culture change. Right now, it's a losing culture... has been for years. There's legit hope now.
But I'm not willing to concede that Minnesota suddenly has a defensive culture after one inspired game against a freefalling team on the backend of a back-to-back.

Fair points Abe.
And it does bug me a little bit that KG can't even play 15-18 minutes on the front-end of a back to back. I mean, c'mon, he looked pretty damn good the other night in 20 minutes. It's not like he's being asked to grind out 30-35 minutes per night. He's still getting paid, isn't he?
(Tim, I agree in theory that the culture change aspect is far more important than his actual production while playing. That being said, part of changing the culture is actually going to war with his mates. His influence will be diminished if he's held out too much).
