I seem to remember so many fans hating on these guys when they were available becuz all they did was shoot and played no defense. I sure would love to see either one on this team right now. Not every player can be a two way player. And these guys show plenty of value just doing what they do best

Still would hate both of them. Look who helped them turn the corner. Rick Carlisle and Doc Rivers. I don't think either would be the same player if they did not go to the places they went.

They are also only manageable because they are on winning teams. The issues with them arise when they have been on bad teams which we currently are very much so. Martin is a better piece for us than both of them because he can put up similar and in some cases better numbers while being a better vet on a losing team. In a sad way his apathy is better for our team than either of them would be.

For what Ellis is getting paid I think most people would take him in a heartbeat. same with Crawford. Same with Kmart. Shoot if we were paying Pek like 8 million a year (or even less) there would be a lot less complaining about his injuries you just take what you get out of guys and be happy. Most people thought Ellia was gonna get paid by somebody and he ended up with less money and the Macs got themselves a good player for a great price.

I was an advocate for both guys. Warts and all.

That was when I was beating the "the Wolves lack somebody who can create for himself and others" mantra basically on a daily basis.
