So if this is true his master plan is to put out a starting five that can play defense but doesn't have many scoring options. Then have a second unit that can score at all 5 positions, but can't defend one of them. Sounds like a great recipe for soft tanking.

With these players its not too difficult to at least attempt to find a balance for both units..

I hope Cam is right about the lazy reporting. Seems he just went off last games lineup, no? Prince has noreason to start, and zZach at PG will drive me crazy and really hurt his progression IMO.

I hate this franchise.

I'm more shocked that he is going back to Zach as the back up pg. Nothing wrong with making Bazz and or Zach earn there way into the 2-3 spot after a few games. Prince wont be there long if he actually starts, but like Cam I do doubt any real reporting coming from Jerry.

Lazy reporting imo.

I don't mind Prince getting minutes, but not as a starter. That would put the entire scoring load on Wiggins and a guy who hasn't even played a regular season game in KAT.

If you are starting people based on preseason performance then Bazz should get the nod.

If you are starting people based on development and the future then you should start LaVine

If you are starting people based on a win now strategy then you start Martin.

If you have completely lost you mind and have no direction in place then you start Prince.

Lets hope it's not the latter..............

I didn't mind signing Prince for the vet min as a 12 - 15 guy on the roster. But starting him is ridiculous. There is a reason 29 other teams didn't sign Prince for peanuts.

I'm just going to assume I know nothing, which we all know is true, and hope Sam knows more than I pretend to. So little has made sense of the past few years that I'm not sure I would recognize a good plan if it bit me in the ass, which makes perfect sense because why would a good plan bite me in the ass?

There are so many ridiculous things at play here:

1) Prince playing at all much less starting
2) Zach being told he's the starter prematurely, and then giving him 3 whole games without Rubio before changing your mind.
3) Miller and Tyus completely out of the rotation
4) No scoring punch on the starting unit
5) No defensive ability on the 2nd unit
6) Bazz and K-Mart trying to co-exist on the court

Remember my buzzkill thread? We now have a clear winner. It's Sam Mitchell even being mentioned as a coaching candidate in this league. I'd cry about this if I wasn't too busy actually laughing.
