I would imagine this would have an effect on how likely Cle is to trade us the #1, but which way it moves the needle I have no idea

*Puts on tin foil hat*

this smells a little fishy. Fake an injury in front of Cleveland, be tight lipped with Milwaukee & Philly, and suddenly he's staring at Boston or LAL. With the rookie scale any money he'd lose on his first contract could easily be made back on his second.

*takes off the hat*

But if he's really hurt I feel bad for the kid

EDIT: just saw it was Cleveland's doctors who found it and it may be a fracture. I'll leave my other stuff up so you can laugh at my stupidity.

Well Adam Silver screwed up and didn't give the Lakers a top 3, so he has to try something different to get Embiid to LA.

I'm guessing Embiid got a late night phone call from David Stern (in a muffled voice).

Oh Foye, why did have you have to edit that? I was enjoying it too.

Thought it was funny Embiid got checked out by Cleveland and Parker got checked out by Milwaukee. The two teams traded reports on the players, according to Woj.

Anyways, Embiid was who the Cavs wanted with the top pick. I think this moves the needle in our favor. This might/should be enough to scare Gilbert into not wanting to waste another pick.

Hope you're right, Cam. The Cleveland deal talked about is the only one that excites me.

Cleveland really dodged a bullet here. Could have been another Oden/Durant situation. Now the choice is pretty clear. Will be interesting to see how far he drops, my guess is 3rd or 4th.

Man, not sure I would touch Embiid at all in the top 10. He has the same foot injury that put Yao and several other bigs out of the NBA at an early point in career. The injury risk to these big men is simply getting too costly...which is why I believe we see teams moving to lighter, smaller athletes at the center position. Outside of Duncan, I would ask anyone to show me a "big" center that plays consistently over the course of 3-5 years.

And Duncan isn't a true Center either but his ability to stay mostly healthy so long is very impressive. I agree with. You its tough to know what to do. With Embiid. Back and foot problems already? That's not good for a Center.

Maybe he'll drop to us at 13? Wouldn't that be interesting, in that case we take him absolutely. But I doubt he drops that far.
