Looks like Denver is making a hard push for Love. This should add urgency to Golden State. Hopefully Flip didnt promise the Nuggets anything though.

That is a crazy deal. Fornier and 56 pick? Couldn't we have done better than that? I thought for sure they would deal him as he doesn't fit their complete rebuild strategy, but this seems like they got shortchanged substantially. How the heck did Chicago not offer at least the 16 or 19 or both for what would be a key piece for them. Seems like Orlando maybe got a bit too impatient.

Denver absorbed him into a TPE. We don't have the cap or a large enough TPE to take Afflalo's salary, so we would have to send something back. We don't have anyone that fits Orlando's strategy other than Dieng, and his salary wouldn't match.

Also, here is something funny about this deal. Denver traded Afflalo in a deal for Iguodala. They traded Iguodala for a TPE. They traded that TPE for Afflalo. So basically, they traded Afflalo for Afflalo.
