If there was a worry based on this video wouldn't it be Wiggins getting scored on every time he guards someone? Lol

It's worth noting that this drill has guys looking to score a bucket with 10 seconds left on the shot clock. You aren't gonna always get a 3 or at the rim bucket like that.

5 on 5 open run vs ben simmons.

I think he might actually be taking basketball seriously this off season.

First time hes worked out all off season travelling between minnesota and la.

First time hes working with a basketball trainer (chris johnson) full time.

First time hes practiced with basketball guys.

First time hes participated in an open run.

Its a make or break year for him. I get the sense that andrew genuinely wants to stay here. He knows that he need a breakout year for that to happen and win the fans back. Otherwise, he is out of here mid season or next offseason.

This is also a year where andrew can step into a leadership role. Teague is the only vet left. We have gone all in on being young. Kat has taken the leadership mantle but andrew can still be a leader next to kat and he is the 2nd longest tenure wolf now on the team.

I like how he strokes the 3 ball in the video. 3 plus getting to the rim is the key for wig. He will always take mid range shots. We have to accept that, it just isnt realistic to expect andrew to suddenly abandon the mid range. But if he cut those long twos out and takes smart mid range shots then i can live with that.

His dribble looks more in control, and lower to the ground - not sure if it's related to anything but I seem to recall his in-game dribble last year being pretty high and awfully shaky. Maybe its the drill or maybe he knows they will not swipe at it.

His dribble is too high and he often holds the ball out, so it's easier to get stripped.

Going by his workout videos, i think chris was mostly working on wiggs handles and being able to attack going left.

I still have hope for Wiggins, just wish I seen some more initiative to drive to the rim. We know he has it although his handles need to improve.

Hype video

In the 5x5 he showed it (drive and slung it), so here's hoping he is MIP this year!
