It'll be interesting to see who the Wolves wind up with on that second two-way deal. I hope they're not hoping for Jordan McLaughlin to be that guy. I'd feel more comfortable signing him to the NBA roster and taking a swing on another big. Minnesota needs to take a chance on a Christian Wood type player and see if he can be better than Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaden McDaniels, which isn't a high bar to meet and exceed.

I agree with you about JMac. I'll be disappointed if the Wolves don't sign him to the regular roster. And like you, I'd love to see the Wolves take another shot at a young undrafted big, although I'm not sure who that might be. The one thing this front office has done well so far is find some pretty good undrafted young talent like Naz Reid, JMac and Kelan Martin. I'm actually sorry to see Martin go. I have a higher opinion of him than you as a fit for the Wolves. But I'm also a bit biased because we got to meet his parents in Vegas at the Summer League in 2019. Great family.

I wanted the Wolves to take a gamble on Dedric Lawson last year and he's available again this off-season. Super versatile big that went undrafted out of Kansas. Golden State gave him a look on their Summer League team. San Antonio signed him last year and let him get some burn in the G-League where he didn't disappoint. That would be my first choice.
And that doesn't surprise me to hear about Kelan Martin and his family. He seemed like a high character guy from everything I read and saw even back to his days at Butler.
