I just got back in town and finished watching the first summer league game...
Dunn and be done.
Our team sucks, though. Hopefully the construction of this team is NOT reflective of Thayden's ability to build a team, otherwise we are in trouble! But I'll assume the team was put together to feature the three players already on the roster.
But WTF was up with Payne?!? The "kind" perspective is he was trying too hard to impress his new head coach in the stands, Thibs. Hopefully he plays a "less distracted" game today.
Looking forward to another solid performance by Dunn. And I am really looking forward to the solid PG play we should have this coming season with both Rubio and Dunn running the point, and playing some time together!

ESPN3 I believe. I think even if you can't watch it live, you can watch all the games on ESPN's archives, whether you have a cable video package with them or not.

Dunn definitely was clearly the best player on the floor in game #1, and Payne again showed why I continue to say we need to bury him at the end of the bench or replace him ASAP. Payne could succeed in college because he was physically superior, but in the NBA he actually has to have some sort of basketball IQ to succeed. He doesn't have the luxury of being a one-and-done teenager that has time to 'get it'. Might be a nice guy, but he really hurts the Wolves when he's on the floor, and it's actually somewhat embarrassing that he also was hurting the summer league team by being on the floor.
I did notice that it was a LOT of Tyus and Dunn playing together...and Dunn definitely had a lot of the D-Wade style 2 guard game going on. Even though that means ball domination, this might work.

Thanks for starting a thread just on the game, Tim. I like having game threads, and I think we need more frequent thread changes. These 20, 30, 40 page threads are getting too long and unwieldy.
The game starts at 1am here, so I'm going to stay up for it. (Right after hopefully watching Ronaldo's heart break as France beats him here in extra time!)

Thanks. The board's gotten a little better lately, but the draft and free agency threads just got too ridiculous.

I hope Cam comes back soon as I'm interested in some of this thoughts on stuff that's happened both with the Wolves and around the league. These last couple weeks would have been a good time to take a break. I'm kinda jealous in a way. Lol

Wow, I am not excited to see this Toronto summer league roster at all. Jakob Poetl, Deion Wright, and that's it. Yawn.
