I still think he would have made it in the league if he wouldn't have had that hip injury.

I didn't see any mention of johnny. I do agree though, he had a very good chance to be a player in the league prior to the injury, not that that offsets picking him over Curry. He takes way too much heat on this board for never living up to his draft status which I think is unfair given the injury.

The hip injury certainly didn't help Flynn. We will never know if that was the reason he never was able to make it back or if there were other significant issues.

Lengthy article on IT's injury etc. lots of good info.

Thomas speaks and it's a pretty good read IMO.

I like to imagine that sometime not long from now, somewhere in Boston, someone is going to be a parent, talking basketball to their kid. And their kid is going to ask them, point-blank like kids do, you know, "Yo -- why you become a Celtics fan?"

And that parent, man, they're going to think back to themselves -- really think on it. And then they're going to smile, and tell the truth.

"I saw Isaiah Thomas play."

That would make me very happy. For me, I think, that'd be enough.

[Note: How can you not root for that guy? Plus, let's not forget, he's made $29M TOTAL in his career up to this point... with his long-awaited big payday flashing before his eyes this summer. That total is barely more than 1/2 of what Darko Milicic made... and their approaches to the game couldn't be more different.]

Yeah I'm pulling for the guy as much as ever. What he wrote in this article seems pretty real and he seems to get it all which is kinda amazing and somewhat refreshing.
