With the additions of extra offensive weapons this offseason are we more likely to see a dip in Towns overall numbers or could we see them soar to rare heights like 30 and 12 this year.

Since he's so efficient I could see an uptick. There is going to be a lot more attention put on our perimeter guys than in years past. I think Towns is an all-star next year.

I agree. Towns will be an all star next season. He is our best and most important player. He is not going to take a backseat to anybody nor should he.

If you ask me, he is already a top 5 NBA scorer when you look at his combination of versatility (meaning where on the floor he can score from), volume (PPG), and efficiency (TS%). I mean, the guy shot 54% from the field while launching 275 3-pointers at a sub 40% rate. His 2 point efficiency is just sick and he literally has zero weak spots: Post-ups, mid-range jumpers, drives, finishes, free throws....there isn't a spot on the floor that he isn't above average in when it comes to shooting. And that's after only his second season!!!!

The bottom-line is this: He needs to be the focal point of the offense and clear cut #1 option. He's that damn good. The area he's lagging in relative to his other offensive skills is play making for others, but even there he is solid, having averaged 2.7 assists per game last year. But he needs to find ways to get others easy baskets as teams increasingly look to stop him.

All of that being said, I will gladly see him take a hit in some scoring stats if he can play better interior defense. He's already a force offensively. His defense will determine whether he can become a perennial winner.

I agree, Q. Thibs will be making a big mistake if he doesn't make KAT the focal point of our offense. That's exactly what Kevin Durant said. This will be a test of whether Thibs has evolved beyond his neaderathal roots as a head coach.
