They have Ricky. I love Ricky. Teague does nothing for me. I dont like Thibs. Do not trust the direction of the team - built to win now, not good enough to be a seruous contender
Go Jazz!!

So go be a Jazz fan and enjoy their triumphant second round exit because they faced an OKC team with the depth of a puddle.

Utah might exit in the second round, but no one thought they would get to this point when the season started. Your good buddy Ricky Rubio has been a big part of it! Mitchell is only going to get better......
I'm happy for Utah. Great fan base. Great coach.

Mitchell is getting better before our eyes. He's averaging 28/9 over his first four playoff games.
He's nearing historic rookie levels now. He and Simmons are two wonderful rookies who are thriving in almost every way right now.
It's looking like a long offseason for OKC. I thought Westbrook was blamed entirely too much this season (as a seemingly revisionist history smear MVP retaliation campaign or something)... despite carrying the Thunder into the playoffs the last two months of the season. That being said...
We've seen the very worst of Westbrook the last two games. Kenny Smith nailed it last night... while Shaq couldn't understand the concept.
- By focusing too much on Rubio, Westbrook hurt his team. Rubio isn't going to beat you for 28 points again. But he will beat by getting into your head and having more space for his teammates to move.
- The two crafty "flops?" were huge in that game. Rubio destroyed Westbrook mentally.
- Meanwhile, Joe Ingles is such a fucking dick. But a lovable one. He really goes out of his way to mess with people. I bet he "accidentally" bumps into Paul George 100 - 120 times per game. He's the guy who would grind every pickup game into a shouting match... but you'd love to have him on your team.
PJ Tucker vs. Joe Ingles? Yes please. More please.

I agree, Q. Obviously, I'm still a Wolves fan. And I've put my money where my mouth is, renewing my season tickets after another hefty price increase. But I'll be rooting I for the Jazz all the way through their second round exit. They have clearly overachieved this season relative to their roster. They have a much better front office and head coach than we have here in MN. The made a great draft pick in Mitchell, a smart decision acquiring and then re-signing Ingles and an equally smart decision the OKC pick for Rubio. They overcame losing Hayward and Hill to free agency last summer and missing Gobert for a significant chunk of the season. Their head coach has the Jazz playing hard, playing together and playing effectively as a unit on both sides of the ball.

It's been a great season for the Jazz. Donovan Mitchell was a good pick and...now it's looking like a great pick. Kudos to them. I'll just say that the Jazz would likely look less smart if George Hill accepted the contract extension with them he should have taken. That would have been what at least million in cap space they wouldn't have had to spend on solid players last summer? Plus being locked into a player that may not stay healthy and getting older?

Luck. Timing.
That stuff matters in the end quite a lot.

Yep.
Just to add to that a guy on Twitter (who is a Heat and league cap Guru) a couple days ago mentioned that it was possible if not likely that one of the draft picks the heat turned down from Boston who was one of 2 teams that offered multiple picks to have a chance to draft Justice Winslow was a pick the Celtics used on Jalen Brown. I'm not going to spend a bunch of time looking up what was at least reported to be offered but I will say was was in bigtime on Winslow and...he hasn't been anywhere near the player I thought he would be. I'm sure most people would rather have Jalen Brown. Now the Celtics made a good pick in Brown one that was a bit surprising at the time so they still get credit (good teams seem to get lucky more...) but yeah.

Geez Khans, our depth is hardly any better.
I'm loving watching the Jazz destroy OKC. The irony of Rubio getting to the 2nd round of the playoffs and us getting knocked out in the first round. Good for him!
Anyone still think we should of traded him?
