Clippers getting fined 250K by the NBA for offering DAJ unauthorized business opportunities. Man. Just another layer to the drama

I remember speculating about something like this happening in a previous thread. Balmer is connected and a scoundrel.

Shame that the fine really doesn't mean anything considering they still got their free agent target. If you want to hit them where it hurts, take a draft pick away.

I'd best things like this happen all the time, by the way, especially bigger markets like LA/NY/BOS/DAL/HOU/etc.

Seriously, they circumvented the cap by offering him additional means of making money outside of just playing for the team. That should be a first round pick and a bigger fine.

I am shocked they got fined anything at all.
