Timberwolves have agreed to terms on a one-year deal paying the veteran's minimum with veteran forward Tayshaun Prince, a source told Yahoo.

He can probably give Wiggins a few pointers about defense. Man, it would have been awesome to have Prince and Miller back in KGs first stint.

Its funny there was a story that ran yesterday that said Cleveland was looking to sign Prince. Flip beat the Cavs to the punch.
What's not to like--we get a 3 and D guy on a minimum contract that can mentor our wings and now our mentorship program is fully staffed.

Do the Wolves have the 3 oldest players in the L now?

Now it seems there is just one undecided roster spot. Who gets it? Bennett, Rudez, LoBro, Hummel (if he hasn't fully committed to going to Italy) or someone else?

My thoughts are that I think the 15th spot is AB's to lose, with Rudez next in line and if neither impress then we probably look outside the roster. I think the Miller signing was probably the death knell for LoBro, but if we have an inseason injury at point guard, he might be our first call. I think Hummel is probably playing overseas.

How can we go wrong with another prince in MN? Good job Flip.

I am not sure what Prince still has left but I bet it's enough to be worth a vet min deal. He probably has enough left to play a few mins here and there and help some guys out. He knows how to play and he sti has that ridiculous length is gonna help him still. I wonder if Flip sees him as an option as a small ball PF.
Does Prince take up a roster spot from a younger guy? Yeah but I don't know if he takes it away from anyone that significant for the future of the team and there are a lot of young guys already.
The next question is whether Rudez or Bennett move on. The easiest to move would be Rudez and it's not like his upside is that high. I tend to think Flip has some idea of what they can do to open a roster spot with adding Prince. I still think there is a couple teams out there with enough interest in Bennett they may want him. It think the draft charter about the Wolves having him on the block may have been about a few teams sniffing around than Flip offering him up. Flip sure keeps things interesting.

Good points, monster.
I thought Flip was looking for a vet PF/C, but when he said "up front", he must have been including a SF, which, yeah, is also part of "up front".
So what was your favorite Rudez moment? This is a pretty clear indicator to me that Rudez is out. Heck, I even see it as another nail in LoBrown's coffin since Prince at SF allows either Wiggins or Shabazz to play SG if needed (ie. a Martin injury).
And since Flip did not add a PF/C, I think Bennett's tenure with the Wolves is a bit more secure. What was that? I think it was Cam rolling over in his grave! ;-)

If Flip trades Bennett for the purpose of opening a roster spot for Prince I'm done.
