There seems to be a lot of discussion about how many wins this team will ultimately end up with. So I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can all make that prediction. Maybe this thread can be pinned so we can refer to it at certain points of the season.
I'm going to say 33 wins. I think there is enough veteran leadership and promising youth to have us exceed expectations. I can easily see the season going better or worse than that, but that's my gut feeling.

50 wins. When it comes to 82 game seasons, Flip has more 50+ win seasons than not. The last 10 years has shown Glen made the wrong choice when he fired Flip and kept McHale...
Teams are not going to want to face the Wolves. Flip will have them playing with energy. Rubio will have a career year. Pek will be a load down low. And our perimeter guys will help the team produce it's best team FG% in years.

I changed my mind Barrea is gone so I am changing my overall record from 26 to 27 overall wins.
Surprise Pick: Wolves win the lottery in 2015..Giving the wolves 3 #1 overall picks in a row

I'm staying with the 40 wins I posted in porkchop's thread, as I think the Love loss is easily offset by other factors. Love and DC averaged 32 PPG last year, and I predict Young/Bennett will contribute at least 24 between them, so the Wolves need to be 8 points better from all the other positive additions, including:
1) Replacing Love's poor defense, leadership, and inability to close out games
2) Flip>Adelman
3) Wiggins>Brewer at SF
4) Mo>JJ at backup PG
5) Bud>Shved/JJ at backup SG
6) Much better depth all around
7) More focus on defense
We are easily 8 points better because of these seven factors, so I see us finishing about equal to last year.

Heh, that's a finely calibrated system you must use!
Well, I'm sticking with 25 wins, which is a number I haven't come off of for weeks now. I guess that makes Brandon and I the pessimists around here (or as us pessimists like to say, we're the realists).

Ya I cant see us winning over 27. 27 is the absolute highest I can see us winning. I just see us committing too many turnovers to close out games...
My system adds one more win because JJ shoots alot of three and according to Byron Scott shooting threes does not win games or championships. When I want basketball advice I go to Byron Scott. Don't Yall?!? *Sarcasm*
And im not a pessimist WOLVES WIN THE LOTTERY 2015.. That makes me an optimist. lol

Unfortunately, there's a lot of truth in that.
Until this year :thumb: !

Il go with 39 wins. I see a big year from rubio. Wiggins is my choice to win ROY. I dont know why, but I see martin, bud and pek having a relatively healthy season.
