I'm still on board with KAT being the first pick, but look how effortlessly Jahlil rejects this shot.

He does get blocks. And usually is in position on the low block, but I don't see him as that big who intimidates guards from going into the lane. He's just not the athlete for that.
See if you can find the video of Okafor getting stuffed at the rim by a SG or sf in college when he was going in for a dunk attempt. That was great!

Geez, he's ruthless! Heh, poor kid.
I'm not sure how much of a rim protector he will be, but he can certainly evolve into a paint protector, meaning he has the size and strength to keep guys out of the paint and "bother" shots, if not outright block them.

The vertical he demonstrated to block that shot is amazing! ;-)

Wow Okafor hates kids. What a jerkhole. Also it looks like he injured himself he comes up gimpy. Serves him right. Soooooo glad we didn't pick him.

I've never doubted Okafor's ability to block shots. But his college stats tell the tale. The take they tell is that he just not a good shot blocker in spite of his abilities. All the good NBA shot blockers were good shot blockers in college, even as freshmen. I think Okafor's will be a very good NBA player and he's my bet to win rookie of the year. But he won't average more than 1.5 blocks per game.

Shot blocking is overrated. If Okafor learns to box out and not give his man position on the block via his strength he will be just fine on defense.
