Towns is not going to be a star soon . . .

. . . he is one already.

Just watched a bunch of Towns highlights from games the last couple months, and I noticed that other teams' commentators have been saying he'd be a star soon. It doesn't look like long until they're saying he's a star now, because he is.

He's making huge contributions on both ends that are as clear on the court as they are in the boxscore. He's getting better consistently, and he's plays with hustle.

Just watching the guy play offensively, he actually reminds me of Kevin Durant at times. His handle's yet not as good nor his shot as fluid or consistent with range, but he can pretty much already do most everything offensively that KD can do plus big man post moves. And he's simultaneously a very good rebounding and defending 7 footer. That's crazy.

There's nothing to debate here. This is awesome.

He is okay. I am not buying into the hype. We have seen better here.

And you need to compare them to Jahlil and Jabari's too.

Anthony Davis's name was thrown around as a potential ceiling for KAT when he was first drafted. It was a convenient comparison because both were one-and-done #1 picks out of Kentucky. Well, don't look now, but KAT is nearly matching AD's output this season. Insane.

Jim Pete said he wouldn't trade KAT for Davis. I agree.

Is there another young player anyone on this board would trade KAT for? Given the building state of the Wolves I cannot think of a better player around whom to build!

Only if you consider Curry a young player.

I wouldn't trade Towns for Curry either. Nope.
