36 FT's....wow! What a joke.
I like the idea of simply allowing the team in the bonus that is fouled to either shoot or take the ball out of bounds....their choice. Seems simple enough. What is the downside here?

Well, that would change some games from being 48 minutes long to about 47:37.

We should have power plays like hockey, when teams get in the bonus they get a 5 on 4.

I don't think a team should be rewarded further for having a player that can't hit freethrows.

Seems like the only logical option, but I don't think it is the solution. Hacking will still happen to disrupt offense.
There's only really two guys in the league it happens against and that's Drummond and DeAndre Jordon. Simple solution - don't suck at free throws.

Why change a rule that only benefits like 3 teams. Make your fts.

So what else are we doing? Eliminating intentional walks because that's boring and brings the game to a halt? How about when the ref walks off the yardage on a penalty, should those be eliminated? How about the boredom created after an icing call when the linesman has to go get the puck and skate it down to the other end?
Am I the only one here who has read "Loose Balls" by the gun-happy Jason Williams? Not saying he's a role model, but he explains in one of the chapter how Chris Mullin spent an afternoon watching him shoot free throws up close, made suggestions about his form, he spent all summer shooting 100 FT's a day, and his percentage went up dramatically. I want to say 25%, but I don't remember the exact number. The Pistons may not have a Mullin, but there has to be somebody who knows what's wrong, and if he listens and then practices, problem solved.
I don't claim to be a Drummond expert, but in the games against MIN and on Sportscenter, I see him missing a lot to his left, shots that have the right length but are way left. So the first thing I would suggest is him rotating his stance 5 degrees.

So we want to change the game because some guys can't make free throws? Well, how should we change the game to compensate for Rubio and players like him inability to make a shot? How 'bout some changes to compensate for Bazz and Martin's inability to play defense? How 'bout some changes to compensate for Sam's inability to make common sense rotations and player substitutions? Or changes to compensate for the decades of Glen Taylor not being able to employ a decent front office? Or changes to compensate for TheSP's inability to post anything useful on this message board? I'm sure we can all agree at least one of the above needs attention!

If the rules get changed for Drummond from the foul line... can we change the rules for Rubio from every other spot on the court?
