They want to do a Rubio/Lavine for Jimmy Butler deal. That is all they mentioned.
I do it....just as I would have before the season. But many on here really like how high Lavine can jump, so.....
Kidding, I get the attraction to Lavine. He has already severely outperformed any expectations I had of him. Love his shooting, but he just doesn't seem to have much of an impact to results in games....yet,

Britt doesn't feel Thibs is love with Rubio - No surprise here
Britt is not a fan of Lavine - Brauer (Robson's counter part) loves Lavine
Both agree that Rubio + Lavine for Jimmy Butler is a trade you do - Feel Butler is attainable but recognize that Chicago fans would rather ditch Hoiberg than Butler
Britt is convinced that Wiggins is a 2 and that Wiggins and Towns are our major assets - still recognizes a risk in letting go of Lavine this early

Thanks guys. I'd do that deal but hate it at the same time. Something about these three young guys developing together is hard to let go of. But Butler has several prime years left and would provide some things we sorely need, namely toughness and defense. Wig would become even more dominant at the 2. It's a move you have to make if it's there, but I still have trouble with it.

I think it is the sign of a possible trade when the feelings are as you mention. Many of the possible trades that get thrown around are pure fantasy that totally overvalues our players. The mystery of Lavine should give us pause but we would be better defensively by a longshot. Wiggins could be a two, and we'd never have to hear the bellowing about his rebounding again.

Wiggins and Butler are redundant to me. Zach and Wiggins fit next to each other even if the defense is a work in progress. Dunn/Wiggins/Butler has the same spacing issues the Bulls already have and we can clearly see it doesn't work.

I would do that trade, even though we'd be getting rid of perhaps my two favorite players. But my optimism about Zach as a defender is sinking...he was dreadful Monday night.
I also agree with all of Robson's takes that you list.

I would not trade LaVine in this deal. After years of everyone clammering for even a single 3 pt threat from the 1-3 slots why would we? Wiggins + filler for Butler makes more sense and then you keep rubio or move him in a second deal for a true PF.
Rubio/Lavine/Butler/Towns/Dieng is much more balanced offensively than Rubio/Wiggins/Butler/Towns/Dieng.
At this point I'm simply inclined to keep the three 21 year olds and see what they become at 24. Sky is truly the limit with that trio.

On another note, Rubio + Our pick is quite a bit of value to go get a nice player. the blue chippers seem to all be guards/sfs. If we can do a rubio/pick trade for a quality player and a mid or late first then I'd do it. Bam, Bryant, or OG would be my targets.
