Vikings have to make a major trade, and they are going to have to give up some good assets to get the right guy. Can't bail on the season already.

Your 2016 NFL Central Champion Green Bay Packers. Just crown the f'ckers already.

So much hope all down the toilet in one practice.

Who are they going to trade for that's a major trade?

It's not major but maybe a 5th or 6th rounder for McCown? He had some nice moments with subpar talent. It's obviously not a permanent fix but with a new stadium an excited fan base and the most talented team in years It would be nice if it didn't feel like they were phoning in the year by starting a no name rookie or geezer to start the season.

Why in the world would we make a major trade for a 1 year stopgap? Teddy's career isn't over.

Yeah, I'm not interested in giving up assets for another QB who isn't going to be a superstar anyway. A dislocated knee and totally torn ACL is horrible, but he's young and his doctors say he will make a full recovery. Out this year and maybe portions of next, but the kid has a lot of football ahead of him.

I got some feel for the mood of the team 15 minutes ago. LB coach Adam Zimmer is my neighbor, and I chat with him sometimes when we are outside with our dogs. I avoided the Teddy topic as we chatted tonight (in fact we talked baseball instead...he's a huge Rangers fan), but at the end I said "Tough day today". He replied without hesitation "We'll be okay". That's where I am. This team is going to be a dominant defensive team and also has one of the 3 best running backs in the game, and that's enough to make the playoffs. I don't see a SB run with Hill at QB, but it's going to be a good season anyway.

I would try to get AJ McCarron.
