Through first four Pre-Season games, the starters look great based on PER:
20.9 - Rubio
20.0 - LaVine
20.0 - Towns
19.0 - Wiggins
15.0 - Dieng
Bazz/Bjelica lead the 2nd unit, but there is a big drop after that based on PER:
20.2 - Bazz
16.6 - Bjelicia
11.5 - Rush
6.7 - Aldrich
1.7 - Dunn
Disclaimer: PER is only one stat/measuring stick and it's only been four, pre-season games.

Here is the Net Rating (team scoring differential per 100 possessions while player is on the floor) through 4 games:
Towns +17
Wiggins +15.6
Rubio +13.1
Dieng +12.6
LaVine +8.1
Bjelica -4.2
Muhammad -5.5
Dunn -7.2
Rush -13.8
Aldrich -14.8
The good news is that our starting 5 is absolutely kicking ass. That's a good thing and continues the trend we saw in the second half of last season. I certainly don't expect these numbers to remain this positive, but it's a nice start. I love the fact Thibs is maintaining continuity with the starting 5 from the back half of last year. The more reps these guys get together, the better they are going to get on both ends of the floor.
The bad news is that the bench is getting beat by other teams' benches......AGAIN! This seems to be an on going problem for this squad and is very discouraging since we don't want to have to run guys like KAT and Wiggins into the ground because the bench can't keep leads. I'm hoping this is just a matter of a brand new 5-man configuration having to learn how to play with each other. We'll have to keep an eye on this trend.

A 10-man rotation is not what Thibs normally does. Will he keep running a 10-man rotation once the season starts?

It must be considered, our 2nd unit is putting in more minutes in preseason. That said, our 2nd unit's +/- numbers are a little bit weighted by going against our opponents first unit. (For the preseason)

I don't see a 10 man rotation, and I see the starters playing a ton of minutes for us. That's Thibs pedigree. Of the reserves, Bazz and Dunn will probably see the most time. The next tier would be Belly and Aldrich, and Rush will get spot minutes.

Well, other team's second units are also putting in a lot of minutes, so I think it's a wash. And tonight they got their butts kicked by a re-tooled Thunder team missing Kevin Durant and also starting a rookie (Sabonis). Not that I expected them to win, but it was like boys against men, especially in the second half. Not impressed so far with our bench, but it's still early.

They need Rush's outside shooting too much for him to only play spot minutes. I think they go with a 10-man rotation, but yeah, it certainly won't be the type of hockey shift rotation we've seen so far in pre-season.

I don't think Thibs is going to play 10 guys in every half. So if Rush plays in the regular rotation, who doesn't?

Thibs just gave 6 players the night off in a preseason game and gave players days off during training camp. I'll say there is some evidence we could have a bit more open mind about what Thibs may or may not do when it comes to minutes and rotations.
Q makes a good point about Rush's shooting ability being a really asset. I agree though 10 guys is a lot and every ones in a while a guy will thrown in that's outside the rotation for one reason or another like foul trouble or something. If Belly does the things he can do most nights especially being a factor from 3 point land that's gonna be big for this team and the bench.

I think thibs will play 10 guys in the first half. He seems to be trying to change his approach and give more rest to the main guys.
The 2nd half will depend on how the game is going. If were playing catch up, i can see thibs resorting back to his style and playing 8-9guys in the 2nd half with the starters playing longer.
