No time table for a return yet. The Sixers can't get out of the dumpster, hopefully Embiid stays healthy.

This is my biggest fear for our own young stars.

Sheesh. It's a shame when guys lose a bunch of time. Yep, injuries are always sort of in the back of my mind too. Every year somebody goes down. The good news is we seem to have a little more depth this year. Still, fingers crossed we stay relatively healthy this year.

I feel bad for the sixers. They just can't catch a break.

The possibility of 3 straight rookies of the year grows greater.

On the contrary...

Wow, that is too bad. Noel, Embiid, and now Simmons. It reminds me of the injury curse our team used to have with 2nd year guys.

The Sixers are such a mess though, even without the injuries. Their 5 best players play two positions - Center and PF: Embiid, Okafor, Noel, Saric, and Simmons.

I feel bad for them and Simmons. The names you mention are a bit of a possible silver lining to this injury. They can play more of those other guys. The most intruiging player than Embiid wondering if he can stay healthy and actually play like the potential he showed when he was drafted (now that Simmons is out for a while) I'm intrigued at what Saric will be able to do.

Will this speed up them trading one of their bigs?

Seem to be too many injuries like this to young players. I recall Flip wondering out loud whether the frequency of injuries the last 5 years or so years is the result of overtraining. That's always been my main worry about Thibs. Hopefully, he learned from Pop when he spent time with the Spurs last season.
