This is just weird.

JJ Barea might be the hottest PG in the league right now. He's led Dallas in scoring for 5 straight games (all wins) as Dirk Nowitzki has largely shit the bed.
He's saved Dallas' season.
I did not see that coming. I still don't like him as a player...

JJ can play and I've been saying it for years. I am really surprised at what he is doing. How long will he keep it up? Idk Carlise is such a damn good coach that makes a huge difference.

Yeah, it really looks like that JJ will single handily keep Dallas in playoffs and since Wolves won't get Rockets 2nd rounder unless it is worse than 45th, he will still get change to screw Wolves one more time.

I always liked JJ and thought he got a really bad rap here. Dude plays all out, and though he isn't a traditional pass-first PG, he's really effective at what he does.

JJ and Bazz both have a little similarity for me. When they are on - they can be difference makers off the bench. Unfortunately, with JJ (and Bazz up to this point), they can be "off" as much or more than they are "on". Still, I think a good coach can make both guys useful by keeping them out when hot and pulling them quickly when not.

Maybe Carlisle can flat out coach. I know it's been a while since we've seen that around here (Dennis Green? Tom Kelly? Doug Woog? Bud Grant? Herb Brooks? Murray Warmath?), but maybe that's all there is to it.

I thought there was a stark difference in coaching during the recent Mavs game here. Made a huge difference that night.
