Time for my draft slot prediction for 2016. As you know I was quite clairvoyant last year in predicting the #1 pick coming to the Wolves. I'm very tempted to forecast an identical outcome this year, but I've decided to hedge that somewhat. I'm not going to pick a slot, but will guarantee you we win one of the top 3 selections. We have equal chances at the first three slots. I also predict this will be our last crack at the lottery for quite some time. I see us making the playoffs next season, and hopefully for many after that. If we were in the East, we might have a shot this year, but the West is just too tough still. We will certainly improve, but we will actually benefit from not making the playoffs this year by adding one more premium player to the fold.

Cool, I am not convinced that we can't make the PO's. If our D is improved significantly, I see no reason for not to have a major jump in wins. I don't factor Pek into any of my predictions, but I see no reason that this team can't compete with teams like NO, Utah, Pho, and Dal for a PO spot. I see GS, SA, LAC, MEM, HOU, and OKC as virtual locks for top 6 spots. I see NO as a team that has dealt with significant injuries, which is what keeps them out of that group.
If for some reason we to manage to fulfill our typical destiny, I see us reverting back to our past and not moving an inch. I think it is likely that we lose our pick in that scenario.

You gave yourself a three pick margin so I'll use that. I predict the Wolves draft between 7-9.

6-8 range. I see the Lakers, Blazers, 76ers, Magic and 2-3 teams I didn't expect because of injuries, etc. be worse than us.
