I've been following some of the writers on Twitter during the media day press conferences. The biggest note so far is Pek said he won't be available for the opener. He thinks he'll probably miss the first month of the season.

Did any of the crack staff of reporters ask why?

From a strict medical perspective, no. But he also said the doctors said everything went the way it was supposed to so I am assuming we were never given the right time table for his return in the first place if that is the case. He was in a cast for a month and a boot for 2 months and said it was tough doing crutches given his weight. He also said basically he won't know until he runs as he hasn't run without pain in a while. Lower body injuries especially foot and ankle injuries are tough for guy's like Pek because he's 6'11 and close to if not 300lbs. There's not a lot he can do to train for basketball if he had to wear a cast and boot for 3 months and it sounds like the boot pretty recently came off.

This is like the Michael Williams saga all over again.

Maybe they need better doctors!

One thing is for sure, we don't seem to have an abundance of front court players like they say. Towns and Dieng can cover the 5, but that leaves a part timer in KG, Bjelica, and Payne for the 4 so I hope nobody else gets hurt.

Let's hope not. He is one of the more forgotten bad luck cases the Wolves have had with PGs.

The most interesting things I have heard so far center around Tyus. They may utilize the D-league with him and Miller said he is really impressed with Tyus and said people will be surprised with him.

Bazz says he can play the 2. I liked the Rudez interview (just ended). With Bennett gone, I suspect Rudez sticks and Brown is out...

There were a lot of good interviews. When they come available online, be sure to listen to Kevin Martin. Entertaining. Informative. And maybe even a bit controversial...
