I just saw that Dallas released John Jenkins...he can score in bunches when given the chance...is he someone we might want to take a look at?

I always liked him. We could do worse.

I liked him when he was at Vandy, but there's a reason he's been on more than a couple teams already in his young career. Seems like a guy that's had his chances and hasn't been able to put it together. Minnesota and this group of coaches aren't going to be where he finally puts it together.

I watched him over summer league, and he blew it up for scoring, as he did in pre-season. However, Dallas has substantial investments in Matthews and Parsons, and I think Jenkins was just the odd man out. He has produced when given the chance to play real minutes. Might be a great scoring option off the bench (similar to a Marcus Thornton, who I have always thought was under-rated, but much younger).

I'd rather scoop up Jason Thompson. The Warriors just waived him to make room for Varejao. I liked Thompson when he was playing for the Kings and we could desperately use a big body right now.

We don't have a roster spot for him so we'd have to cut someone to sign him and he's not that good to warrant buying someone out to create a spot for him. Why would Glenn spend that additional money on a lost season?

Rumor has it Pistons are looking at him with Meeks and KCP injured. (and trade being voided)

I liked him with Kings too. What happened to him that Varejao is an upgrade at this point?

I doubt Glen gets to this level of detail. I would think as POBO this would get tricky. I am sure you are working a budget and maybe ticket sales are not what you want and doing this mean letting 10 sales people go to balance the books. Or maybe it eats up the office staffs bonus pool. Maybe you wouldn't be able to fly Darko back for his flash back bobblehead nights. It would be interesting to know how all of those items come into play when you are wearing different hats in the org.

John Jenkins?

You guys miss Wayne Ellington or something?

[Note: Actually, I don't think Jenkins is bad. He's just... well... fine. Ok. Decent, I guess..]
