Cliff of course. He'll be working at State Farm in 3 years.

Tyus has impressed me with his smarts and poise. I can see why the dude has been a winner wherever he goes. His across-the-board below average physical and athletic profile will hold him back, but by how much?
J-Pete always laments the unit he's on the floor with and feels like it puts him in an unfair position (thanks to Mitchell's hockey-shift philosophy). It would be interesting to see him sometime with at least a couple of the other starters.

I agree with Jim Peterson on this. I think he can be a solid backup. If he can knock down his jumper at a better than average rate I think he can overcome his limitations.

There seems to be some things that you can probably gather from a small sample size and some I would say that it's fair to wait and see on. Is Tyus really a good 3 point shooter? I'd be willing to wait on that but I would also think his 2 point shooting will probably go up some too to balance out the high percentage he has put up from 3. It just seems like the guy knows how to play though. Some of those passes and the way he sets up defenders to get where he wants to go seems like it's pretty legit. It just feels like he already knows how to play when he has the ball and it seems he moves to the right spots without it also.
It's unfair to make comparisons to HOF type guys of Nash and Curry but watching him it's reasonable to conclude so far Tyus has an uncanny feel for aspects of the game that are pretty special for a guy his age and he isn't especially physically gifted to fall back on. He has a little flair to his game which both Nash and Curry have. The other night I watched some highlights of him in the d-league and I am thinking now what if Tyus was on a team that needed him to do a lot in college would he be up to it and putting up some pretty impressive numbers say his junior year? Yeah it was just the d-league and it was just a few games but he was almost 50-40-90 shooting as a 19 year old playing against pros in one sense or another. Sure all that matters is what he can do at the NBA level but my point is I think it's fair to say he does have upside.
What I think makes Tyus a legit prospect to make it in this league as at least a rotation player on a team that doesn't suck is he isn't just a floor general he is also a creative passer with very good vision. He also looks to have some legit scoring abilities he seems to want to put the ball in the basket and could be a threat to score. Basically he isn't some 1 or at best 1.5 trick pony.
People say he may not be able to defend but I'll tell you a bunch of backup PGs tha are basically scoring PGs aren't helping you that much on that end either and that's partof the reason they are backups. Defense is the part everyone wonders what he can do there no doubt. I'm not going to try and paint a positive picture there except if he is just a good backup I wouldn't be shocked if he was adequate enough compared to similar peers.
Maybe I have gotten so tired of watching so many young talented wolves players over the years that ultimately seem like the don't know how to play it makes me enjoy it too much when I watch a guy like Tyus who actually seems to know what the hell he is doing out there.

I've been a fan of Jones. And I think he'll carve out some role in this league. But I was curious about those stats of his. They seemed awfully familiar. And they are -- with another undersized local PG from a few years ago.
PER 36:
Tyus Jones -- 37.4% fg / 11.5 ppg / 6.5 ast / 1.4 stl / 2.0 TO / 12.6 PER
K. El Amin -- 37.0% fg / 12.1 ppg / 5.6 ast / 1.8 stl / 2.1 TO / 12.2 PER
Granted, I think Jones is better. And has more promise. I just found the rookie stats to be pretty similar.

Abe - Great find. It would be great if he could become the back PG for us.

Probably meaningless, for many reasons.
But interestingly enough, El Amin started 14 games that season, but never played another NBA season.
