All this doom and gloom about Love leaving. So should we have traded him for Waiters and a lotto pick/ Taken Trey Burke instead of trading down? What's another rebuild, after all, we're the TWolves

no, if we trade him ( and I don't think we should) it should be for a top 3 pick this draft

I think Father Sarducci was referring to the deal proposed 5 months ago by CLE that had Love going to CLE for the #1 pick in the draft/Waters/salaries.

So we would have traded Love for Oladipo, Waiters, and Thompson. Then drafted Olynyk at 9 more than likely since Flip really liked him.

Ehh. I think we can get better if we need to trade him.

EDIT: I said Oladipo because Flip loved him (so do I) and he honestly should have gone No. 1 overall.

A 3-way with Varejao going to OKC and #12/Perkins going to MIN might have made the deal slightly better.

Perkins is trash and is set to make $9.6M next year. I'd rather him not be included at all even if it means we didn't get that 12th pick.

I'm having a tough time trying to think of an argument. The only thing I can think of is Waiters and Thompson might not being enough salary under league rules and eventually "Kendrick Perkins" will become "Kendrick Perkins Expiring Contract".
