CoolBreeze's 2 Things I Didn't Like Tonight Plus 1

A little revenge for the Wolves tonight after a couple narrow misses against the Knicks last year. It got a little iffy there when the Knicks made their run, but this will help to build character as we found a way to win. Here is the switch to standard time edition of the 2 + 1:

1) There was actually a lot things I didn't like tonight, so narrowing it down to just two took a little thought. I'm going to start with how undesirable the Knicks cast of thugs is. Look at all the guys you love to hate on that roster: World Peace, Carmelo, Felton, Martin, Hardaway Jr.. Most of those guys I simply can't stand, and am so happy I don't have to root for that group. Carmelo might be the guy I hate more than anybody else in the league. And I include Hardaway Jr. simply because his dad was such a divot. But beating that bunch makes it even sweeter. Oh I forgot, include Spike Lee in that group. He might be the worst of all.

2) We had to win in spite of our bench tonight. We got very little out of that group. JJ was okay but not as noticeable as usual. Derrick did some good, some bad things. Dante was absolutely atrocious on both ends of the floor. Shved didn't even get on the floor in the 2nd half. The reason this is all significant is we have to come back and play Cleveland tomorrow night. Our starters really had to carry the day and I have to wonder how much they will have left tomorrow night. Hopefully the bench can return the favor tomorrow night and give us a chance to win.

Plus 1 - Lots of positives as well, obviously. Kevin Martin was the Kevin Martin we were all hoping for. But I'm going to go back to Love. He is flat out a superstar in this league. And he is the main reason we can win games like this now. He makes a ton of big plays every night, and he has the capacity to make them at crucial times. His health is the most important variable in this entire season. Kevin for at least 70 games means this team makes the playoffs and has a chance to make a run in those playoffs. If he misses more than 15 games we are in trouble again. But he is a special, special player.

And that's CoolBreez'es 2 things I didn't Like tonight Plus 1.

About Love, it has to hurt bad to be a Memphis fan and realize they had him and let him go for OJ F'N Mayo!! Ouch!! It really makes the Foye for Roy deal hurt so much less!!!!

Why do you hate all the Knicks players? I'm just curious as to your individual reasons.

Cuz they're knicks players, what's not to hate?

Would've have liked to have seen Dieng get some minutes. If Klove keeps this up, and stays healthy (the latter being the bigger IF) he's gotta be high on the MVP voting list at the end of the season. Sign him to ANOTHER extension now!

I was fine with Adelman playing the starters heavy minutes last night since they sat out the entire 4th quarter on Friday. Plus it was really nice to notch our first road win, and at MSG to boot. Big win.

As for tonight, I agree, we need to go to the bench early and often, even if we're behind. It's simply too early in the season to be riding guys for 40+ minutes on back-to-back nights.

Cool hit the nail on the head with Kevin Love. It's only three games in, but he leads the NBA in scoring and is second in rebounds. Plus he's upped his assists level this year and helping to get other guys easy buckets. Superstar.
