Flip back at it

Flip once tried to take credit for the KG pick. Another time, he denied wanting to trade Chauncy Billups, this time , Glen Taylor said that the statement was not true.
Why did Glen hire him again??? Just old maybe?
On last Friday's Funka delic, Flip began distancing himself from Ademan, saying, "you'll have to ask the coach", along with, "here is how I coach". Spoke if metrics as a way of letting management know that you are working hard.
Same old Flip. This isn't his fault. He will work this for as many Multi million dollar seasons as Taylor lets him. Sad

Flip is also a minority owner. Which is also a reason he was hired

Taylor once offered McHale a minority position. They can be bought out. I just have no high hopes for the Flipster, credit him for working an old billionaire who doesn't want to let go

Flip wore out his welcome here pretty fast. Time for a new GM before the draft.
He needs to try and trade Budinger, Brewer, JJ, and LRMM for cap space or shorter deals. Then turn around and make some smart budget signings.

While I can't completely disagree with the prevailing sentiment here that Flip locked himself into some unattractive contracts, I remain one of his only apologists on this board. I just can't get too excited about some of the other options that were available to him last summer (thank god he passed on Kirilenko!), and I remain positive about his draft moves. I can't say that his not-too-veiled ripping of Adelman on the Funkadelic was appropriate, but I sense that he is experiencing much of the same frustration with Rick Adelman that many of us are. It seems that some of that frustration boiled over on the radio last Friday, and that shouldn't happen. But I agree with him. Adelman's stubbornness in not playing Muhammad, overplaying JJ in critical situations, not letting Shved play his natural position, and trying to rush Bud back before he was in any way ready, combined with the lack of enthusiasm and in-game coaching that Bayou pointed out in his game report, are the main reasons this club has underperformed and is heading for the lottery once again.
Shame on Flip for going public with his thoughts about Adelman, but shame on Rick for trashing this season.

I agree with you. It really looks like Flip got the team Adelman wanted, I can't blame Flip for that especially if that's what Taylor instructed him to do. Now how I'm going to judge Flip is how well he can get out of this mess.

Rage - I will agree with that. I think remember him saying he wanted to be the GM he wanted as a coach. I think he did a lot of what Adelman wanted, but still think the contracts he gave out were a little much. Hopefully he can unload some of them.

I can't really blame Flip for getting off Adelman's sinking ship. It seems pretty clear to me that Flip went after players that Adelman wanted (atleast to some extent). Flip has tried to facilitate what Adelman wanted.
Now Flip is fielding questions as to why people aren't playing more, or someone as bad as JJ is playing so much (that might only be sub-text), and I honestly don't believe that Adelman has ever explained to Flip why he insists on playing JJ so much. Because, I'm pretty sure that, if Flip knew, he would just share the reason, just so he doesn't look dumb.
We are at a pretty important part of our season, and all 3 of our leading scorers are out (or will Love play tonight?). Something is obviously, seriously broke. Our only player that averages over 10 PPG that is still able to play is Brewer. I'm glad that AK (per LST's comment) isn't here, otherwise he'd be sitting next to our big 3.
This is the ever-shifting blame of Wolf basketball, it looks like it is Adelman's turn.....mainly because blaming a GM after 8 months seems very premature.
