I've always dug most of his stuff, back from his days writing for The Rake and City Pages(?). Now, he's writing for the Minnesota Post.

My favorite basketball writer, by far. I use to read him regularly when he was with City Pages, but now I only read him when someone posts a link to one of his articles. I'm always impressed by his insights and his writing style.

I know he landed a gig at SI... only to be stuck writing silly Power Rankings columns obviously beneath him.

I don't understand why he doesn't land a higher profile gig than The Rake, City Pages or Minnesota Post. But I know he does other writing too (music?) so maybe he has a pretty decent freelancing type of career already lined up?

He's overqualified for covering the Wolves. He never really fit in at SI, though. If Grantland had been around 10 years earlier, that might have been the perfect spot for him

I saw something recently that revealed that Simmons is one of only 3 writers for Grantland over 40 years old.

There has to be something more to why this guy hasn't become more of an NBA fixture.

[Note: I also miss the days of Steve Aschburner as the everyday beat guy for the daily paper.]

Perhaps we can use this thread to post Robson articles. I always finish one of his articles smarter than I was coming in (perhaps not a very high bar).

Although it is not his research, the most interesting part of this article is this: When Love is on the court, the Wolves have the most efficient offense in the league. When he is off the court, they have the least.
