Sparse, dead crowd. You could really smell something permeating the air tonight which was...here it comes...wait for it...wait for it....APATHY.

Yes, it felt like everybody was going through the motions tonight, until of course the last three minutes when things got exciting--and we of course got just close enough to lose another game by 4 points or less (you can't make it up).

Agree with coolbreeze in his thread: Ricky is not playing his game right now. The flash and creativity are gone. And he was missing on simple passes tonight he normally makes. I knew he would be benched in the 4th quarter in favor of.....

Barea. This guy is bad. He is simply not a point guard. His decision making is horrid. He made a few plays in the end tonight but by then it was too late. I am tired of watching him run the second team.

A couple quick positives: Shved looks like a new player. Something lit a fire under his ass because he has really come alive. Second, I really liked Pek's defense on Cousins. Pek's strength kept Cousins away from the basket for most of the night.

Overall depressing game though. But this is the result of --losing/choking/giving away/being jobbed by the refs/however you want to view it-- so many games this year. For the first time the Wolves looked like a mentally beaten team. The crowd could sense it, and I think the players could sense that the crowd could sense it. It's not too late to turn things around, but tonight was the first sign that instead of the ship just leaking, it might actually sink.

So what happens next Flip?

Plan A: Play better. Coach better. Get luckier.

Plan B: Play worse and get lucky for once in a stacked lottery.
