is LUCK! I can't pinpoint if it's an extreme lack of luck or some kind of curse, but seriously you can't make this shit up. Going back years....

Wolves are primed to make the playoffs but a freak accident on a play that looked harmless enough, tears rubios acl and he's out for the year.

Last year we had historic amount of injuries. Love breaks his hand doing knuckle pushups! how the hell does that happen. Wolves would be able to keep their heads above water so the gods say NOPE! Josh howard tears his acl in practice and has no idea how the hell he did it. Adelmans wife gets sick. Wolves end up losing so many guys that players off the streets had to come in and play 30+ minutes for them (Jelly ball, CJ).

To this year! Gerald fucking Green, the highlight of the 15 win wolves of years past, somehow makes THAT shot. Love missing 3FT the stretch that hes always money for. Love getting hacked and not getting the call against dallas. Martin slipping and giving the ball away against the clippers. Jared Sullinger hitting BS after BS shots in the 4th quarter.

The frustrating thing is what can you do! is there a way you can improve your luck?

Theres nothing luck about this season. This season's story thus far is about choking, an inability to put your foot down on a team when you have them on the verge of defeat. The Wolves are waiting for that shoe to drop. You could see it on the floor last night, they had the lead late and were scared to death to screw up. The Suns on the other hand had no fear, they attacked, they defended, they played the game without fear. You cannot go into the last few minutes of a close game with knots or butterflies in your stomach like the Wolves do, its a recipe for going 0-10 in close games.

As for Gerald fucking Green, he expected to make that shot, he went up strong and made a clean shot. The Wolves expected to find a way to lose, they hoped they wouldn't, but deep down they expected exactly what happened. Nothing luck about it.

Funny how the great teams are lucky.

And the bad ones are unlucky.

Are you sure it's not the fact that we have one legit ball handler, only he can't make a shot to save his life?

End-of-game situations are about handling pressure defense and hitting tough shots. We have one perimeter shot-maker and one ball handler, and they aren't the same person.

In the modern nba, that qualifies as a bad roster. You need perimeter play to win close games. We don't have any. End of story.

Could not agree more. I had the radio on in the background. as soon as the Suns pulled within two, I thought "they will choke, they will loose". Didn't want to, but I did. And they did.

It is simple Minnesota sports psychology. We all know something will go wrong and it does. It is palpable in the air.
