Just saw the Durant flop...

Missed the OKC game. But I just saw a replay of the Durant flop. That was deep in the 4th quarter, right? Wow.
It will be interesting to see just how serious the NBA is about this flopping issue.
What makes it even worse:
- It directly led to his team's victory. Those two points were huge in a game that was tied with 2.4 seconds left.
- Brewer has been fined for flopping.
- Durant publicly ripped JJ Barea for flopping against him.

The flopping rule doesn't apply to offense as far as I know, so there likely won't be any response from the league. It was clearly put in as another way to protect the superstars.

I didn't triple check, but I thought their knees bumped...

"...any physical act that appears to have been intended to cause the referees to call a foul on another player."

Trying to post the image. Can't... I'm inept.
That might work as an excuse to avoid a "warning." It shoudn't.
The grazed knees. Durant's head flops back and then he grabs the knee. Oddly enough, it didn't seem to deter him much afterwards, based on the boxscore.

I stand corrected Abe, maybe I thought that because I can't remember it being applied offensively. Do you remember any situations where that occurred?

No. I only get upset about the flopping stuff when it's obvious that it's not intended for everybody. Or when it fits my agenda.
