I am still on the bandwagon

Last night was frustrating that is for sure, but ill check it up to a fluke. You can blame Martin and maybe even Adelman but really that's a 1 in a 100 time occurrence. This wasn't a Martell Webster type play, Martin kinda slipped and Paul kinda got away with a foul, but he's Chris Paul so he won't be called for it. It hurts yea, but it's not like the NFL where every game matters, this loss won't matter much if we still make the playoffs.
Which is my point. We are a team that is built for the playoffs. We have two guys who are big mismatches against other playoff teams. I'm talking about Pek and Love. Possibbly Houston has players to match but really, can you think about guarding a guy like Pek for a 7 game series? The clippers would be scared to death if they got matched up with the Wolves for a 1st round series. I also think we can put to bed any argument against love being a big time player. He has monster games against the best teams in the league. Of course a lot of teams have mismatches against us, which is the reason for our up and down season so far. We have 8 very winnable games coming up and really a easy jan schedule.
I still think we can win any 1st round series! we just have to get there

I might be more optimistic about the points you made...
...IF the Wolves didn't just lose to a Lakers team ravaged by injuries the previous game. Or, lose a very winnable game vs. Boston while missing two dunks, many free throws and falling apart vs. Boston earlier in the week.
Bad losses are piling up. Even back when Love missed the bunny vs. the Clippers, it was a feel-good "Hey we battled back" moral victory of sorts for most. Those days are gone. Playoff teams don't get oogly googly over moral victories.

I am sick of moral victories. But I will always be on the Wolves bandwagon. If I made it this far what the hell. Let's go for it.

I'm still on it, but I may be off after this next stretch of games. Either the Wolves figure things out and put some wins together or the season may be over. The west is just too deep and tough.
Starting Friday there are 4 wins staring them straight in the face:
Wash
@Mil
Dall
N.O.
They gotta start winning now.

Should all be wins. The team should see this stretch on the schedule and take full advantage of it.

How are any games the Wolves play should wins? I look at those 4 games and see only Mil as a legitimate gimme.

Thunder just lost to the raptors at home. The heat have lost to the 76ers. Bad losses happen

Good thing I never said they were "gimmes" huh? The Wolves are better than all four of those teams, thus they should be wins. That's all I said.

I am still solidly on the bandwagon, and have breathed a big sigh of relief to have the brutal part of our schedule over. Now the schedule gets as ridiculously easy as it has been ridiculously hard so far. But we need to win the next four games, which would leave us in a confident position to take on OKC at home on Jan 4. Porkchop is right in his post above...there is no such thing as a gimme with this club. But based on the way we play in BTBs, I actually see the game against Milwaukee as the diciest of the next four. Fortunately, the Bucks stink...last in the league in shooting and 6th from the bottom in rebounding.
If the Wolves are a potential 6th seed, as I see them, there is no margin for error in the next 4 games. They have 4 days to shake off the ugly Clipper loss, and then they need to win the next four.
