Just daydreaming--what if we HAD taken that rumored offer from Cleveland? Waiters and their lottery pick for Love. So, correct if I am wrong, we could have drafted Oladipo, (1st) Trey Burke, and had Waiters. Interesting, if Trey turns out to be Ty Lawson.

You're forgetting that Tristan Thompson was also rumored to be a part of that deal, which is nice. All hypothetical at this point, though.
Let's say we did take Dipo No. 1 overall. There's no guarantee that Burke is there at No. 9. One change in the draft affects almost everyone. Bennett would have slipped to whoever, and then they would have fallen as well. The Magic might have taken Burke at No. 2 for all we know. That was rumored to be who they really liked at one time.
Rubio, Waiters, Dipo, Thompson, Pekovic, No. 9 pick, D-Will, Shved. Lots of young pieces we would have had, hypothetically, but no star player.
Fun to think about, anyway. I still believe that we can get a better package for Love if they decide to trade him at some point. In my opinion, Love's here for the long haul, but things can change.
