Actually, Luc is getting a hell of a lot more love than we are giving Williams.

I absolutely love this trade. I have disliked the Caged-Lions game for a long time. Luc brings a LOT more to the table than D-Will ever showed here.

I do think it's cute that the Caged Lion has been released to become the Lion King! :)

When both sides feel like the other team came away with a slightly better deal, it was probably a fair deal.

And for the record, I think this is a great trade. Williams was just no good. Sorry, but it's true. Luc can contribute and help our defense, which we need. Great deal for us.

That won't happen. When you release a captive animal into the wild they tend to get eaten as they're not prepared to survive.

Seems like a bunch of those Sac-Town fans are upset about giving away Luc Mbah a Moute. They should be. Guy's lockdown on defense.

It is sort of ironic that we might be starting to develop a bit of a defensive identity as a team. I know that sounds strange with Love, Pekovic, and Martin in the starting lineup, but the fact of the matter is we're rated 5th in overall defense right now! The Brewer-Rubio combination is helping us lead the league in forcing turnovers. That plus not putting teams at the line has more than offset the decent % teams shoot against us. Luc will only help us even more.

I kind of wonder if Adelman eventually turns to Brewer as our 6th man, as Luc is probably an even more versatile defender against elite wings than even Brewer was. And our bench needs a boost. By making him the 6th man, he could still play with the starting unit for a decent stretch, as he would come in for Luc or Martin fairly early.

Q, that's what I've been saying. Lol glad we're on the same thought process, though. Even though Brewer's done a relatively good job defending Durant, Melo and others, I think letting Mbah a Moute take over that starting SF role is best for the whole team. MaM's a better defender with more versatility as well as defensive instincts. Let Brewer become that guy off the bench that Flip/Adelman envisioned him to be when they signed him.

Cam, Yeah, I noticed in the other thread you and others already speculating about MaM starting.

I think it might help a little, but it's still just shuffling the deck chairs of a somewhat wayward ship. Brew and Luc aren't going to suddenly shoot the ball better.
