Even with the loss it's obvious this Wolves team is a contender

I thought we were dead in the water multiple times and with Turiaf and Budinger in the wings with a possible deadline deal.....this is going to be a season to remember
also I hate Alexi

Yeah, we need some bench help pretty bad. Love and Martin have been playing as good as you can expect, Brewer's been playing well overall, Rubio's contributing despite shooting so badly, and even Pek stepped up tonight (finally). But we can't win with this bench unless Barea is on fire. They just don't seem to know what they're doing out there.
How long until Bud gets back? It's weird he's been with us so long and I've barely seen him play for us.

Similar thoughts. I thought the team was ready to roll over 2-3 times. It would have been easy to give up this game but they kept fighting.
It has been surprising how bad the bench has been. Dante has lost his consistency, JJ is more miss than hit lately, Williams is at Adelman's mind games mercy, Dieng isn't ready, and Shved is still looking to pass to Kirilenko.

Is there anybody who could contribute who we could trade Muhammad for? I never liked that guy anyway, and if he can't earn any burn on this horrible bench, there's not much hope for him here.

I don't think that we needs Barea to be on fire to win (tonight is a very good example of that), we just need him closer to his career averages........it will be hard for us to win any game where he is leading the second unit to a .28 FG%

I wouldn't call us a contender yet, but the potential is there to be in the mix. The Clippers were at home, rested, and threw everything at us they could (including a miracle shot at the end of the third, ugh) and we still were right there. I feel like if the game goes to overtime we have a really good chance to win.
Oh and the refs didn't help us either but that's no surprise.
No doubt the bench is the biggest problem right now--Bud and Rony cannot get back fast enough. Also I think it's time to give Shabazz a chance instead of Shved. He really cannot do any worse.
Good effort tonight though--this team is on the rise.

what to do with this bench OMG, i hate to just wait for Bud and Turiaf, it is just obvious that most of our bench cannot play on NBA level, we cant use rookies Bazz+Dieng, Shved and Hummel are out of equation and Williams brings nothing .. And for J.J. most of us knew that it is not a good idea to play him as secondary playmaker, he is a spark player who is either ON or OFF, you cannot count on him like we do count on him now .. Flip should seriously think about pulling the trigger asap, as nobody wants to lose matches due to horrid bench production

As I read your post you describe the major issues with our bench and then suggest we need to pull off a trade, but with what? No way to trade any of the top five and nobody else is giving the Wolves any value so why would another team give value for any of it?

well we look like we are for real, i would not mind to use some draft picks .. like send away Williams+draft picks to get some decent backup player

ya.............who would want JJ, D-Will, or Shved......Flip got stuck with these guys (granted, next year D-will is his fault)......these guys account for about 20% of our salaries. Flip has already done very well reconstructing the roster.....I'd love for Flip to pull off miracles, but he can only do so much with the crap that he was stuck with.
