I'm not sure "haters" is the right word, but there were a lot that thought Mayo or Redick, or keeping AK would be better, and that we overpaid for him. Which is nonsense, of course.

Over the last 3 years, Redick and Martin have missed the same number of games (give or take a few games). Martin is only a year and a half older than Redick. Redick is a career backup player, with numbers that don't come close to Martin's numbers, not to mention he is 3 inches shorter and considered no more of a defender than Martin. And Mayo's career thus far screams "Don't Touch".

Martin was the right guy to get, and we got him at a very good price for the production we are going to receive.

Ya.....I don't remember that many MArtin "haters".......and just because he had 2 amazing games in a row, I don't think that my opinion has changed of him at all. I think that most people knows that he provides these at times.

Actually the "hate" for Martin wasnt this past offseason it was a strong dislike for him the offseason before from alot of the espn posters that have come here.. They didnt like the idea of a player that could only score ( heaven forbid) becuz his defense was so bad. It seemed this offseason most warmed up to him a lil more.. Apparently being a year older tipped the scales in Martins favor in alot of fans eyes. lol

Bloop, I'm not saying that you are wrong.........I'm just letting you know what I remember. I was not trying to offend.

Bloop is right. There were a lot of Martin and Brewer haters and now we ain't hearing them. The comment I remember the most was from Lip saying how dull Flip looked for making the moves. He wanted Reddick bad. He called me out for backing Flip up and defending his intelligence.

I wanted Mayo over Martin, and that hasn't changed. I still think we paid too much for Brewer, giving him an opt out in his deal made it even worse. The four years were what bothered me about Martin's deal, and like the Brewer, Bud and Pek deals, we seem to be bidding against ourselves.

Lip's hesitation with Martin has a lot to do with injury history and age. I am not so sure I would be judging that criteria five games into the season. Reddick and Mayo have both done pretty well to start the season as well.

Mael, i remember the brewer haters, and i remember people saying that we paid to much for Martin. I just don't remember any hate towards Martin.........the hate towards Martin wasn't close to the hate towards Brewer.

Mark your right about the Brewer hate. It was really high. Higher than the Martin hate. Also, the Shabazz/dieng trade hate was ridiculously high.

I defend all the moves and Even though its early I think they will work out.
